Disney

This past week we had lots of plans and I thought we would have lots to post but Emily had a cold and we were not able to do anything. We had already made reservations at Disney so we stayed home all week so Emily would be better so she would enjoy Disney. She is also trying to get in two more teeth!

We left Friday afternoon for Disney. We stayed at the Pop Century Resort. Emily really had a good time. She was very exhausted by the end of the weekend. She fell asleep before we left Disney and slept the whole way home. When we got home she ate dinner and went back to bed and slept all night!!!

We have a few playdates planned for this week so check back next week for a new post!!!!

Epcot

Friday night we went to Epcot. We were just there for a few hours but we managed to see Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Stitch, & Goofy. We also rode the Finding Nemo ride, Space ship Earth, and the Figment ride. We also saw some of the fireworks but Emily was getting scared so we decided to go back to the resort. It was getting late and we knew we had a big day ahead of us on Saturday.

Magic Kingdom

On Saturday we went to The Magic Kingdom. Since we were just there 2 weeks ago we really only went to see the sneak preview of the new Tinkerbell movie. We had the opportunity to sneak preview the new Tinkerbell movie since we are annual passholders. It really was an awsome experience. We were given snacks as we went into the movie. The movie was great. After the movie we were able to meet the producer, director, and screenwriter for the movie. We were also able to meet Tinkerbell and the other fairies for the 1st time. Tinkerbell and the other fairies will be in the park starting Oct. 26th. Emily did great at her first movie even though she fell asleep.
Of course while we were there we had to go to see the Tiki Bird show and the Country Bear Jamboree show. We also rode on the Pooh ride, the magic carpet ride, and It's a Small World. We also saw lots of characters too. Emily had never seen Daisy Duck or the Stepmother & Step-sisters before. That was a nice treat. Of course we had to see Pooh, Darby, & Tigger again.

Animal Kingdom

Sunday we went to Animal Kingdom. Emily saw another slew of characters! She saw Donald Duck, Goofy, Chip & Dale, Bears, Pluto, and Jimney Cricket. She loved all of them. Donald Duck & Pluto wanted to take Emily home with them. We are so glad she enjoys them so much. She did great even though she was exhausted by this time!

Our week was pretty slow until this weekend. Friday we had a MOPS playdate at where else but A Latte Fun. Emily tried some new things there this time and really had a good time. She loves to go down the slide and really enjoyed the foam pit. Then on Saturday we went to The Children's Museum and the fountain with her friend Kylee. They also had a picnic lunch in the park. Then on Sunday we went to Mimi's & Poppy's for a fish dinner. We are ready for our week of working out in the park.

Disney

Saturday we went to Disney for the day. It was so HOT!! We really had fun. We did a lot in just a few hours. Emily really didn't like the 3D movie we watched. She loved the the Country Bear Jamboree & The Tiki Room. She saw Tigger, Donald Duck, Pooh, Darby, Mickey, & Minnie Mouse. We had a family style dinner in the old Diamond Horseshoe Reveu. It was a really good meal. Emily did great since she didn't have a nap on Friday or Saturday. Emily was exhausted and she fell asleep before we got out of the parking lot. Enjoying a drink!

They shared their snacks and lunch together. They also had fun playing in the fountain. It was really hot so the fountain was very refreshing!!!

Hurricane Ike

Well it looks like we have missed yet another storm!!! We are very lucky. We had a very busy weekend. We helped our friend Barbara move Friday and Saturday. Emily was a big help unpacking boxes!!! Sunday Christ Fellowship finally opened down the street from us! We are very excited about this since now we don't have to drive all the way down to Gardens to go to church. Emily did great in the nursey. Keith put her down and she took off. He said give Daddy a kiss and she said "No" and took off to play with the toys! Yesterday after my workout, Emily and I went to a baby shower for a women's shelter opening in our area. They were given lots of needed supplies for the new shelter. We have MOPS this week and a playdate planned for Friday. Reading books!!

Enjoying my breakfast

Whee!!! I like the slide

I am going to try this blog thing. This way everyone can stay up to date with what is going on with Emily.

Emily is now 15 months old and she just had her 15 month checkup. She is now 31 1/2 inches long and she weights 22 pounds. The doctor said she is meeting all her milestones and is doing great. She now has 12 teeth and is running all over the place. She really is a lot of fun and keeps us laughing. She has a great personality. She is talking more and more each day. She can say about 30 words some of them include mama, dada, papa, mimi, apple, stuck, potty, alligator, milk, and book. She loves to read books, color, and play with her toys. She has peed and pooped on the potty a few times. We have not started die hard potty training yet but she is getting ready!!!!! She can also do some sign language. She can sign more, all done, please, thank you, potty, and milk.

A few funny things she has done is she will sing and dance to the theme song for Two and a Half Men!! She tried to do push up's like mommy yesterday. Last night she was throwing water out of the bathtub with a washcloth and laugh. It was so cute how do you tell her not to do it. She thought it was so funny.
